Midori was the first Shiba I ever owned. I acquired her in 1994, a year after the breed had been recognized
by the AKC.

When we got Midori, I had just finished Chemo for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was a love from the
start and a lot of fun. We took lots of walks together and sometimes we went to a nearby park.

Soon we started show handling classes. After about 2 months of classes, we had our first show together.
Midori took Reserve Winners Bitch (RWB)  Her very next show, she took Winners Bitch for her first
point!!  I continued to show Midori, just about every weekend for 2 1/2 years. She wasn't winning as
much as I had hoped, and I realized she really wasn't show quality after all.  After a year of trying, we
finally spayed her. Unbeknown to us, she had had endometriosis which was the answer to a few problems
she'd had.

Always, the lover of food after her spaying, Midori could smell food a mile away. On the morning of
November 28th, 2004, through a horrible and tragic accident, we found Midori asphyxiated because she
tried to get some crumbs out of a Wheat Thins bag.

I had my "Old Girl" buried in Hartsdale Canine/Pet Cemetery in Hartsdale NY. This is the oldest pet
cemetery in the country. I felt she really deserved to be there, waiting for me, til we can meet at the
Rainbow Bridge.

WE LOVE YOU MIDORI!!!  You will be sorely missed and always be in our hearts.  UNTIL WE
MEET AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE!!!
